Discipline is what’s going to make the difference, but what does discipline entail? is it the odd concept of punishing someone for not doing something correctly ?, is it measuring one’s ability to overcome adversity and challenge ?. Punishing someone according to discipline only equates a punishment, Discipline is a choice that cannot be forced, discipline is the challenge that makes us understand our worth and if we are worthy of our own effort, this is a fine level of discipline taking what you want in life and getting it as an extension of your will, a determined focus of what can make us better when we are faced with the choices of what’s easy versus what’s hard. we don’t challenge ourselves anymore, we are comfortable and don’t have to work any harder then normal because we don’t care, we know how much work is involved. discipline is a lost art, discipline is the difference between success and failure, if we do not discipline ourselves against our own whims of error we’ll always be in the command of the ego, the shallow representation of ourselves that makes us accept the abuse we bring upon ourselves and ignore the hurt that we inflict on others, discipline is knowing that there’s no cause to disturb the peace, discipline is knowing not to push yourself past your peacekeeping and peacemaking requirements, discipline is knowing what means more to you then yourself, discipline is a commitment to your strongest values without comprise but not uncompromising.if we are to hold ourselves to our highest idea of ourselves, we’ll have to be ready for the required work that will need to be done and that requires discipline our conditioning is strong, it over rides our common sense making it easier for us to take the easy way out, we are not use to doing the work for ourselves, that is the exact discipline we need the will to work for ourselves and rebuild our mental intention towards overcoming our conditioning to understand that this discipline is the discipline of change and with the committed effort this discipline becomes your own knowledge and we our obligated to spread the peace, are we the warriors inside the artist or the artist inside the warrior, discipline is knowing the difference between the two.

Friendship the innate understanding of similar energy on similar paths. friendship is the expression of self reflected through others, when we speak to our friends we speak for ourselves as well, to reinforce what we need of ourselves. as friends we learn from each other with genuine interest. when we encounter those we will call friends, we realize the familiarity of the energy,“ feels like we meet before” “i feel like I’ve known you all my life”. whens there’s a immediate connection it may be just for a fleeting moment, so the knowledge that was hidden from you may be brought to light, or they may endure for seasons or years.

The bond of friendship is the bond of the soul and if we acknowledge this we can start to build healthy relationships that start from friendship this is truly the foundation of friendship, no expectation, no exceptions. As friends we are in each others life to help each other learn and grow, if your current friends do not fit that description don’t evaluate and investigate your friends, you need to check and gauge your friendship with yourself because the friendship you have with your self is the realist form of friendship you can entertain.

Today is a great day to focus on being positive and productive. Most of us have a bad attitude towards Monday which can unconsciously lead to a bad week and have us anticipating the next weekend without enjoying the beauty of today and each day thereafter. Each day brings new opportunities and brings us one step closer to realizing our goals. The goal you accomplish depends on the direction you are going. Either you will accomplish doing nothing at all or you will accomplish what you will. The choice is yours.

Dreams are made into reality, do you dream? i have a dream, my dream is to finally see common sense and social responsibility become the pillars of the community.

Self sufficiency, Self discipline and self knowledge, in this dream we are strong, creative and adaptive, we are the leaders leading the community into wellness, health and fitness, common sense and social responsibility through heart centered conduct.

Without you, my dream means nothing, without the committed effort to be better, without the willingness to listen to each other, without the willingness to help each other we’ll continue down the road of destruction ignoring the signs of peace, and further dividing us and the goal of becoming the reality of our dreams.

Paralysed Woman Grows Nose On Her Spine After Failed Operation

A failed stem cell treatment to cure a woman’s paralysis has left her with a mucus-secreting nose on her back.

At the Hospital de Egas Moniz in Lisbon, Portugal, the 18-year-old unnamed woman, a US citizen, had tissue containing olfactory stem cells taken from her nose and implanted in her spine. The hope was that these cells would help repair the nerve damage to her spine.

The treatment did not work. Last year the woman, now 28, underwent surgery because of worsening pain at the implant site.

The team from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics that removed and investigated the growth reported the anomaly in a paper published in the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine.

Neurosurgeon Brian Dlouhy, who removed the growth, said it was benign, but was secreting a ‘thick copious mucus-like material’, which was probably why it was painfully on her spine.

Human trials for this type of therapy are still at the very early stages, but animal trials have had some promising results. Several different types of cells have been experimented with for implantation including schwann cells (these surround nerves and sometimes grow on the spinal cord post-injury), foetal neural cells (with successes in rat studies) and nasal olfactory ensheathing cells (these are extracted from the lining of the nose and were the ones used in this particular case study).

According to the New Scientist, 11 of the 20 candidates in the early stage trial regained some sensation. One person’s paralysis actually worsened.

Stem cells have the prized ability to divide and replenish themselves, as well as turn into different types of tissues.

Only two other growths from stem cell therapy have been reported in scientific literature, say the study authors. But these were very specific cases, not at all similar to this instance of spinal cord therapy.

To date, 140 people have undergone the same therapy at the Lisbon hospital, but Jean Peduzzi-Nelson of Wayne State University in Detroit told the New Scientist this problem has occurred in less than one per cent of those who have received olfactory mucosal cells.

The study authors say that this rare occurrence could be because patients that undergo therapy are not monitored long enough.
